Ah summer. Yes, it was a few months ago, but I can’t help reliving the memories. This is especially true since I now freeze my buns off just walking from my front door to my car.
While all parts of summer are usually great, the highlight for me was the $5 Million GTD Venom tourney at Americas Cardroom. It finished with a $6,382,500 prize pool, providing great joy to a huge swathe of players.
ACR could have rested on their laurels, but they decided to go even bigger to close out 2019. They just held a $6 Million Venom that finished December 11th.
The $6 Million Venom had a final prize pool of $6,740,000 and the winner galodoido13 is still in shock after taking home $1,039,082. Each Venom comes with a $1 Million guaranteed prize for first.
If you didn’t play in the Venom, don’t worry. It’s going to permanently run every six months from now, with the next one in June 2020.
The Venom will continue to have multiple Day 1 options. The $6 Million Venom had four, giving great flexibility to players.
Each Venom has a $2,650 buy-in, which admittedly is not cheap. However, you’ll once again be able to punch your ticket for pennies on the dollar via Satellites, Step Tournaments, Skip Tournaments and Spin to Get IN.
